Ted Chiang won a 2009 best short story Hugo Award for “Exhalation” and Elizabeth Bear won a 2009 best novelette Hugo Award for “Shoggoths in Bloom.” Both awards are well deserved! Both stories are awesome! Both stories are in The Year’s Top Ten Tales of Science Fiction. Kudos also go out to Nancy Kress for her 2009 best novella Hugo Award for “The Erdmann Nexus.”
